Space Ace is in the line of Dragon’s Lair and other similar point and click game play. I am not against this genre completely but it has some inherent problems. Timing is crucial to beating the game and is rather pitiless. This leads to starting over copious times, watching the same animation sequences over and over. I didn’t find the animation scenes to be all that excellent or fascinating; in fact some of them annoyed me. Even after figuring out the right moves to the game, I didn’t delight in much of it, which is always the key factor. On the other hand, some may delight in the tough challenge that Space Ace presents and an fascinating ride. If you loved Dragon’s Lair, I would say you’ll find this to be an exciting outer space adventure.

The Sega CD version of Space Ace is definately better than the SCD port of Dragon’s Lair, I will say that.
