this game would be a lot more fun if it was a lot simpler to pick up for a quick game with friends. as it stands if you want a quick game (mario party length), you can’t do very much. everyone will die too much which will make your friends frustrated and never want to play it again. also the tale mode is WAY too long. My wife and I couldn’t beat the tale mode in 4 nights of playing. this is a penetrate game, presume if one stage of mario party took over 4 nights of playing to beat. I can’t recommend this game to anyone. It was a splendid thought that was executed poorly.

This game is lots of fun if you are playing with a group of friends that are not worried to be mean to each other. Otherwise not anything fun happens at all and the game starts to feel like you are just 4 separate people playing a not-so-exciting RPG. Also, playing with the CPUs is not recommended, they are consistently luckier than the player characters and with do very irritating things the entire game.

How to start this, well.. For starters, this game is a lot of fun to play.. As long as you’ve got someone to play it with, I don’t presume it would be any fun at all to play by yourself.. But the depth and addictive nature of this game when playing againsts your friends or in my case my girlfriend! Haha.. That is perilous territory. It’s really amusing, when we first started playing this game it was so sweet, we were being so kind to eachother, and the further we got into the game, the more blood thirsty and vicious we became towards one another. Right colors start showing, believe me, haha which is splendid in my book. It might have alot to do with what kind of a player you are, but honestly this game brings out the competitiveness and pure cunning back sliding freak that you never thought possibly existed. We surprisingly were fine after playing the game though, for those who are curious. ;D
As for the actual game play, it’s moderately unadorned, and anyone can pick it up and play. And you don’t need to have a multi tap to play with 4 people, you can play the whole game owing to just one controller which makes it even more accessable. On a side note I really despise sports meeting like Mario Party and the like but, the real selling point for me are the rpg aspects, and the class systems, and the pure depth in which you can sabotage your friends… Blackmailing, stealing their taxes, purses.. Cursing them, drawing on their face.. Changing their name to something less than honorable.. Haha, it’s just rediculous and so so amusing! And if you start sliding so far behind there is a very evil and dark way to start reigning terror across the land, but you’ll have to play it yourself to see what I mean.
So if you’re looking for a break from the norm, and have a bunch of friends, pick this up before it’s gone. I mean, with all the sports meeting coming out these days, it’s really hard to choose what to play etc. Choose wisely, choose.. Dokapon. ;p

Some people may remember that Disgaea was a sleeper hit. This has the potential to be the same. On the PS2 there is not anything else like this game that I am aware of. Each particular quality of the game is very unadorned. Win a game of Paper, rock, scissors, and walk away with a pocket full of coin. But the game as a whole can become very deep.
The game has PvP. It takes the form of a Suikoden stylishness duels between players and monsters. When you penetrate combat and are on the offensive and press a button, the proper counter for you opponent is to hit the same button that you did. X is a “normal attack”, best countered by X “defense,” while Square is a super attack that if countered will cause you to take full hurt instead of you opponent. As you win battles you will gain experience and level up and gain stat increases based on your job class.
Within a certain game stage all players will have a main objective and perhaps several minors ones. The main one may be as unadorned as kill all monsters. The minors may request that you find and return to a certain city with an item. You’ll find that your one turn away from turning the item in when your “friend” suddenly runs by you and steals the item from you!! Perhaps you respond by casting a spell on him, causing him being unable to go and cast fireballs at him until the item cascade back into your small bag?
Half the time you’ll be trying to hide your smirk, so that your friends won’t up and leave your house, the other half of the time you’ll be pulling your hair on and be two words away from throwing them all out of the house yourself!.
