I bought this game because it was cheap and I found the show droll, even though I’m well over the target demographic. So this review is an adult’s perspective.
This game is extremely well done. If you’ve ever played Bionic Commando or Mega Turrican you’ll appreciate the grappling hook. The graphics are pretty excellent for a GBA game. The controls are open and there are a excellent number of gadgets to play around with. It is occasionally hard, but never cheap. A really small kid might have some difficulties, but in general it’s maybe even too simple. An odd note, this game in fact has more gadgets and is much better produced than the PS2 released game.
The only real complaints I have are that the combat system is pretty weak and the game is honestly small. You can go owing to and collect a bunch of cards inside the missions to see pictures, which was something I did, but it’s mostly pointless. You do at least get to keep your earned moves/gadgets so you can use them in earlier missions which is fun.

My 8yo daughter likes to play this game more than her other sports meeting. Sometimes the music on sports meeting aggravates me, but the music on this game I delight in.

My nine year ancient granddaughter, for whom this was bought, says it is fun, but a bit hard. I reflect she is enjoying it, though. She hasn’t been a GameBoy player for very long. She did mention that there were different levels. Her brothers are enjoying it, too. They are not quite as ancient, but avid gamers.
