I AM THINKING OF BUYING THIS FOR MY 4 YEAR OLD GRANDSON. ARE THERE DIFFERENT SKILL LEVELS? WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THIS FOR A FOUR YEAR OLD? IS IT ANYTHING LIKE PUTT PUTT GOLF?

I bought this game for my 5-year-ancient. It seems okay, despite the asinine “potential-ups,” but I can’t for the life of me figure out how two people can play. I brilliant a game, then I brilliant “2 players.” I next brilliant a character for player #1 and one for player #2. When play starts, though, it’s a one-player game. The directions are not helpful in the least. Any thoughts?

My son, who is five, enjoys this game. He like that the disney characters are the ones in fact playing golf.

Disney golf brings fun characters, unbelievable potential ups, and terrific courses to the game of golf. My 5 year ancient is even learning to keep score when he watches real golf on TV.
OK, here’s the deal. Brilliant a Disney character with a particular strength (i.e. potential, skill) and play head to head with another character (though you can play doubles). Earn coins by defeating your opponent and bonus coins by hitting the ball full potential, landing an approach shot within 10 feet, sinking a chip-in or long place, or landing your ball in a secret area. Use these coins to buy potential-ups that can be used to up your game or hinder your opponent’s. The use of your potential ups is monitored by an energy meter. If your out of energy, you can’t use your potential ups.
All I can say is fun fun fun. This is the first golf game I’ve ever sunk an ace on and the pay off was more than a feeling of satisfaction (347 coins!) The game gets harder as you progress, but not too hard to beat. Right now, I’m effective on reduction enough coins to buy the elusive “turn your ball into a walnut” potential up. 9999 coins. Yikes. Marvel what it does for you.
Splendid game! Fun courses! Slam your opponent with defensive potential ups! Not a sim, just tons of fun for a combo mini golf with full scale golf.

You might approach Disney Golf and laugh for a certain cycle of time thinking it will be childlike and brightly shallow. You might even expect the odd sing-a-long, taking golf balls or giant weights falling from the sky to crush underperforming golfers. But suprisingly it is a very playable golf game.
Of course, this isn’t an entirely straight game of gold. There are several recognisable and realistic modes of play; Strokeplay, Matchplay and Skins, plus combination play for a pair of two-player teams, Long Guide or Near Pin contests and a challenge option where you play against AI(computer) characters.
Each toon has there own playing stylishness as well, for example Donald Duck is a excellent all-rounder, while Goody is a potential player with a hefty swing.
MY VERDICT:
THE GOODS:
-Real golf sports meeting suck the fun out of ball-thwaking
LET DOWNS:
-Only eight characters, only six courses.
