I like the Diner Dash series, and when I found out that this compilation was out for Mac, I was thrilled! It came quickly owing to the mail even with standard shipping (Thanks Amazon!) and I couldn’t wait to install it into my new macbook. Looking at the fine print after opening the game, I figured OS X 10.4 was the MINIMUM condition. But, the MAXIMUM condition is OS X 10.5 My macbook runs on OS X 10.6.2
Hopes held high, I still had faith in this game to work. The installer kept telling me that I needed admin privileges to install it, which I had. I checked all the settings on my admin, and the pieces would not fit.
I contacted Playfirst and questioned them what was going on. Apparently, this compilation came out before Snow Leopard was released. The hard-copy from retails does not work with anything more than OS X 10.5, but Playfirst’s mac digital download did.
I gave this a 2 star rating, because I do like the compilation. It was shipped very quickly to me. I was also able to get the 4 digital downloads “free” with proof of receipt. Because of the inconvenience, customer service gave me the unlocked key codes so I could still delight in the game.
