This game has really excellent sound and graphics but development team forgot the #1 rule about gaming… MAKE IT FUN TO PLAY. All you do is die in this game. there isn’t much RPG at all. this game has poor function for the RPG genre. this game focuses way too much on perfection and has no save points at all in the game. so if you die you get to start the mission all over and over and over and over and over…Did I mention you get to play it over and over again, which makes the game repeative. I got the game on friday and now I am selling it on Saturday. I really really really despise this game. Don’t believe the HYPE about it being an RPG game. Its a pseudo-RPG.

I read the reviews and thought this game would be fun. I delight in the final fantasy series, and I was keen for a space filler to pass time between now and March when the new Final Fantasy drops. With this many 5 star ratings, it had to be excellent right? Boy was I incorrect. There are Zero save points. Easily the most frustrating game I ever played. When you die, after 30-45 minutes of effort, you lose everything and get the pleasure of starting over. I don’t have time to play levels over and over again. You basically need to play them exact to go on.
I traded it back into Amazon for credit.
If it sat around my house any longer I would have broken it in half… or at least set my beers on it to protect my table.
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY this!

Absolutely no save points…and if you dont play this game 100% exact from start to end you will NEVER progress. you just play the exact same level over and over and over…never gaining anything. I am in total shock that there are so many 5 star reviews for this piece of crap. This game frustrated me to the point I wanted to toss my PS3 in the trash, lol. If you are a 13 year ancient kid and all you ever do is play sports meeting then maybe you have the time to memorize each and every spawn point of each and every enemy in this game…and maybe you can beat each level without dying one time. maybe. I doubt it. If you are a normal person who wants a excellent RPG that you can pick up and play and save and start where you left off and have FUN, then this game is NOT the one for you. I would give this game away for free if I knew someone that wanted to dissipate away there time with this. Seriously…how the heck could the makers of this game not make a save point system…or a way to at least bank some of your souls collected so you dont have to start over a thousand times!?! This game is a hard lesson in frustration. I feel terrible for you if you are reading the 5 star reviews of the fan boys and in fact buy this game. Excellent luck.

I have to say the look and feel of the game are excellent, BUT, the lack of save options means eternal repetition. If you’ve got bird flu, and are in quarantine for the next few weeks, this game might be for you….if not, you’ll find that you’re burning hours upon hours for small to no gain. 4-5 stars if these guys had the sense to add a player save function.

The gameplay is innovative and addictive. It’s the best game I’ve ever owned. I have finished the game once and am coming back for more. One caveat but, play it on an LCD. I’ve come to find that the bright HUD (heads up show) the game employs has left a seemingly stable image on my new V10 Panasonic plasma show – bummer. The fixed images in a game should be transparent and/or their residency should vary to prevent image retention – hopefully game publishers will listen. Anyway, a must buy.
