My favorite game in recent times was COD4, but Crysis:Warhead is just a bit better than COD4 in my opinion.
I really was just expecting to see Crysis all over again, but Warhead really has a lot of realism that I’ve not experienced so enjoyably in other sports meeting. The game is more fluid… none of the “you can’t jump on top of that rock eventhough it’s only 2 feet high” limitations.
The graphics are the most realistic I’ve seen, but still needs a small system adjustment. Running two 9800’s and still have to run at slightly lower settings with DX10. There is a way to force DX9, but by and large the graphics are killer.
This game has many surprises in it that serve to make you feel like you are in another part of the world, but not a fake one. Things like the sea life and the birds running around on the beach are just small examples of effects in this game that are so life-like that you may catch yourself forgetting you are playing a game. I found myself saying outloud: “Holy @#$%@, that looks so realistic!”.
At a mere $25, what a bargain!
(…)
I’ve already installed it on another machine while I added another harddrive to my primary gaming rig, and then reinstalled, and THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS! Anyone who tells you differently is just a liar.
Just buy it off of Steam and you won’t have any problems at all!!!!
For the price of a couple of tickets to the movie theatre, this game is a complete regard package! If $25 sounds like too much cash for 5 copies, then you need a cheaper leisure activity.

Many people here are rating this game (which they haven’t even played) with terrible information that is not accurate. Take it with a truckload of salt because the fact is, the multiplayer disc is NOT protected by the limiting DRM – only the singleplayer is, and even then it will only affect you if you plot on redoing your system’s hardware 3 or more times within the next month or two (or but long it takes you to end the singleplayer campaign). This has gotten way out of hand. It’s a splendid game, and doesn’t deserve this kind of abuse from you morons.

This is a splendid game folks. If you like unadorned ancient school shooter fun that involves shooting the terrible guys this is it, plain and unadorned. Don’t let the SecureROM haters scare you. SecureROM has been on my machines for years and it doesn’t cause problems. I’m not saying that no will will run into a conundrum, just very unlikely.
I’m running a pretty high end machine, QX9650 @ 3.8GHz, 4GB RAM, 3x GTX 290 SLI and I can run the game at Enthusiast settings with 4xAA @ 1920×1200 and get well over 40FPS average in the resort area.
People need to stop this panic with copy protection and DRM. No, I wish it didn’t exist, at the same time these reviews here say nearly not anything about the game and are simply political commentary about copy protection. Hopefully people see owing to it.

Just because SPORE has it, a wildly well loved and hyped game, DOESNT mean Crysis Warhead has it!!
For the same reason the NFS sports meeting from EA Dont have extreme DRM either – NOT as wildly well loved as Spore.
Stop giving this game a terrible rating cuz you’re all anti-DRM spammers.

So I just noticed this game out of the corner of my eye looking at something else and I noticed the 2 star review average. Since I havent played far into the game I was intrigued..was it really that terrible?
When I clicked over to the reviews I find a bunch of liberal commie pirate DRM protesters have infected the place with a bunch of lies. Claiming the DRM on this is a virus and no matter what. Instead of reviewing the actual game which they all probably pirated.
I have the game, it runs exact, and I didn’t know it had DRM. You will never know the DRM exists. Ever. It will never ever, cause you a release conundrum. You can also play the game without the disc in.
Now too the game..as I say I havent played far but it SEEMS fun. Very open finished which I far prefer over the call of duty 4 stylishness linear snorefests that are so poular today, especially on the kiddie consoles like dumbed down console sports meeting like Killzone 2.
The graphics well, if you didn’t know theyre the best in the world. That said Crysis Warhead in fact runs worse than Cryis. People say it’s optimized but the fact is (and all benchmarks prove) it runs slightly worse. It supposedly LOOKS even better though, which is why it runs worse.
I LOL at the reviewers who said he plays this at 1920 with a “powerful” 3850 GPU and 1.8ghz CPU…HAHAHA. I have a Q6600 quad core at 2.4 ghz and a 9800GTX+ GPU (which blows a 3850 out of the water) and 4GB RAM and I struggle mightily at 1680X1050..I guess he turns all settings to low. So anyways yeah, if you want to run any kind of high or better settings, you need a powerful rig. With my above setup I can run all gamer settings at about 26-28 FPS. Which is improved a lot when I first fired up the game months ago, it ran worse, but new drivers have helped performance in this game a excellent deal.
