I bought this ottoman as a lightning deal. I knew it was a “band box” but planed on using it as a typical ottoman for storage of other various things. No doubt it seems like it would function well for those into the band video game trend. There is plenty of room inside the box.
It comes with a metal arm that collapses into the box to support a drum peripheral. It seemed pretty sturdy and functions much like your typical collapsible leg on a folding table. Seeing as I did not need this I removed it from the box honestly easily. There are about 8 screws holding it in but all honestly simple to get to.
The box also has two black notched holders for the guitar peripheral. They also seem like they would work well for holding a release guitar. I did not remove these as there are no visible screws and the box has plenty of room with the still mounted. In fact they are now ration as a well-located way to hold some magazines.
If the dimensions and price sound better to you than other ottomans I’d say go for it. Also as others mentioned the legs are shorter. In fact they are basically non-existent. you need to screw them on manually and they are just about a quarter of an inch piece of plastic. More or less used to help slide the box better rather than for any type of support.

We finally got one of these and all the Xbox Guitar Hero stuff fits right into it! We have two guitars and our own mic stand so it’s a small tight but it all fits and it works splendid as a foot rest for the sofa!

The red fabric that shape the interior is a small cheap and you can tell the drum stand was welded by an ameteur but all in all it’s a excellent regard. It’s long enough to store a guitar controller and it stores a lot of our living room clutter. It is also huge enough for two people to sit on which is an added bonus.

I was very disappointed in this buy. You have to disassemble the quitars and drum to get them to fit. The drum base has to be completely taken apart including the screws and legs that are not made to be removed so you can’t really place it back together easily. It’s made to replace the base but unfortunately the arm they use to replace the base of the drum set wobbles and you have to go the Ottoman which they warn scratches the floor but has no handles to lift. It is a plain black cheap vinyl varnish that isn’t too hideous but its not attractive either so my wife was sort of OK with it it the game room. But my kids despised it as the drum stand is very awkward to sit next to and it takes too much time to assemble everything. Also the controllers cannot got inside because there is no hole to run potential inside to keep them charged. I saw a much better version at Costco and I wish I had bought that one.
