Bait and Switch is the Architect Edition. Stay Away. The game developers released a product too soon and are now taking architect options away from players and then (get this) punishing them (account bans, deleting characters) for using the tools they just sold you. Horrible. Just Horrible.

With the new options for this game, you will rarely get bored. Making your own missions is so much fun and being able to make custom characters for these missions is just awesome. You are also able to play everyone elses missions no matter what server they are on. If your not sure you want to invest in the game they have a trial available on the City of Heroes web site. Check it out and see if this is for you.

Even 5 years ancient now, CoH (City of Heroes) is honestly innovative and doing things that no other MMO ever seems to want to. High levels of character customization (very simple to have a unique look), actual bases you can toss together in a way similar to building a house in the Sims, and now, customizable missions and tale arcs.
The new mission creator is pretty nice and has a lot of options in what it allows, but at the same time, it does have a number of irritating restrictions.
*Maps are limited to several hundred of the game maps and exclude a number of specialized city maps from mayhem missions, Task Forces and Strike Forces.
*Mob residency is done by the system and not you, so you can’t control where the custom critters will show up. Similarly, mission objectives, interactive, etc are to pre-set locations, so you can’t always get just the right feel (of course, this also makes player other ppls missions simpler as they can’t be really really evil in where they place things.
*A number of in-game enemies aren’t usable due to exploits
*Custom Critters have to use the normal Player costume creator, you can’t revamp existing enemies with new powers (but! you can include them with new names, social class tales, and control the groups they spawn in).
For long time players or returning ones this box is a splendid deal, it comes with a free month time AND an access code to either of the costume packages at the ncsoft store. Your basically getting a 5 dollar cash off for getting this and an up to date installation disc (last one was the Excellent Vs Evil edition of several years ago).

Issue 14 of City of Heroes come with a mission editor where you can make your own missions and objectives, and you can make, assign powers in combinations unavailable for players and design the look and dialog responses from minions owing to Arch Villians! You can give a blaster a tank’s armor and make him a super tough boss. Plus this pack not only gives you a month free, it gives you your choice of the Cyborg pack with costumes, a self-destruct potential and 3 emotes or the Arcane pack with costumes, 4 costume changing emotes (available when you earn a second costume slot) and a Buff/debuff partner tarot potential. By far the most well loved bonus pack, it brought NCSofts store down to a crashing crawl. This box is a splendid deal for a month of play time and a costume pack on an brilliant issue update!
