Chu Chu Rocket
Amazon.com Review
While it’s simple to clarify the concept of Sega’s brilliant cat-and-mouse puzzle game ChuChu Rocket–players use arrows to guide cute small mice (ChuChus) into rocket ships and help them avoid evil, hungry cats–the game’s appeal comes from a complex union of many small, unadorned elements that have been done very, very well.
The game’s graphics and sound are both honestly rudimentary. The GBA version looks much like the original Dreamcast version of the game, which isn’t saying much. Like Tetris and other puzzle sports meeting, graphic quality is a minor issue here. A major issue is that you can build, save, and in fact trade homemade levels.
Most of the appeal comes from intense strategic frenzy. You’ve got to place arrows to redirect the quick-moving mice, and, hopefully, redirect any hungry cats that are on their way to eat your mice. This can get crazy in release-player mode, as you drop arrows and collect mice, approaching the goals set for each level. At the end of the level, when the timer runs out or the goal is reached, the rockets blast off and you proceed to the next level.
And though the release-player game is loads of fun, ChuChu Rocket really shines when you grab a link cable and connect with up to three friends. When all four of you are introduction arrows to redirect mice into your rockets, and are directing cats into opponents’ rockets (cats that penetrate a rocket steal mice, or points, from that player), you’ll be laughing hard the entire time. There’s not anything quite like it in gaming, and, best of all, you only need one game cartridge for the four of you. Awesome. –Andrew S. Bub

I can’t beleive that this game got such excellent reviews! It is sooooo dull! It is really fun for about 3 days, but then you just get frustraited and bored. The whole game is just a bunch of hard puzzles. Its kind of cool that you can animate your own characters, but the game is not entertaining enough. I also bought some zelda sports meeting for my game boy advance, and those are all i play. I never play chu chu rocket anymore, and I am sorry I bought it. The only reason I bought it was because it got such excellent reviews…! These people that say the game is addictive are nuts! DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!! IT WILL BORE YOU TO DEATH! BUY THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: ORACLE OF AGES AND SEASONS. THOSE ARE GREAT GAMES.

What can I say, this game was huge went it came out for the dreamcast online. Very addicting and fun to play. I’m getting a gameboy advance just for this game, well worth it. Not sure how the controls are going to be on the gameboy advance though. If ou don’t get this for the gba, you should certainly get it for the dreamcast.

this game is awesome. the point of it is to get all the small blue mice (chuchus) into rockets and away from the orange cats. Whats even better about it is that u can make your own levels design what the mice look like on the screen and play in a 4-Player frenzy via link cable.
I’m not sure but u can also swap levels with friends (also via linking) In the 4-Player sports meeting every so often (7 seconds or so) a girl announces a bonus round. One is where tons of mice come out of the spawns and one is where the spawns spew cats.
