I like this game a lot. It’s really spooky! There are really unexpected events that in fact made me jump a couple of times. I’ve only played the trial so, I don’t know how long it is but it has two features that I like most in a game-hidden objects and interaction with objects. I’m seriously thinking of buying this one!

This is a hidden object game (HOG), in which you search a finite number of rooms for things you need to propel the tale forward. For instance, you might need to find scraps of paper to place together to reveal a hidden phone number or secret code. In addition to hidden objects, there are some compartments that must be unlocked by solving puzzles, many of which are reminiscent of those puzzles you might have played as a kid where there are numbers you can slide around, but only one open space that allows you to only go one number at a time.
There are two stages to this game, each with several rooms in which you might have to locate items.
The graphics in this game are well-executed static “sprite” images. There are lots of detailed objects on the screen. Combine the graphics with the creepy sound effects in a dark room, and you can make a spooky atmosphere. There was only one point where we thought that an object was unfairly obscured because the graphics were not rendered very well.
My partner and I played this game all the way owing to in about five hours in two sessions. The fun part about a game like this is that you can take your time and work owing to it with a companion or by yourself. We thought it was fun to have a couple of drinks and work owing to the puzzles as a team. For $7, it’s not a terrible investment in an activity you can share with someone else. Don’t buy this game thinking you’re getting an epic, nuanced storyline. It is what it is, and if you take this game at face regard you’ll have a excellent time. We recommend it.

Loved this game. Was super fun but way too small. I finished it in under a couple hours.

I bought this game based on the fact I loved playing the free demo and that the game had gotten excellent reviews (both on this site and elsewhere). I wasn’t disappointed in the beauty of the game nor the scare factor. The scenes are perfectly rendered. It is a spooky, creepy game as well, and there were a few times the game made me jump in my seat. It is also a nice mix of hidden object and puzzle sports meeting. But, I did have some minor technical difficulties with the game slowing down and nearly freezing at points. And my largest complaint is that it was incredibly small! There are only three changes in location. The tale is not well-developed, due in part to the game’s length. If they had added more to the tale line and added additional locations it would have been much better.
By and large – fun, but not worth the cash unless you can find it for about half what it’s listed at on Amazon.

This is an engrossing hidden object/adventure mixture in which some objects found must be used by the player in order to go ahead in the game. The hidden object parts are as excellent as any I’ve seen, in that all the objects are large enough to see but hidden well enough to be challenging. There are also mini-sports meeting to be played from time to time.
Many HOG sports meeting tend to be quite small such that nearly the entire game can be played within a free trial cycle, but such is not the case with this one. I thought it was a excellent length. If you need help to figure out what to do next, the game has a very excellent hint system. Another conundrum with typical HOGs is that they are often so simple as to be completely dull, but again, that is not the case here.
The game kept this middle-aged casual gamer engrossed for long enough to be worth the cash. There appears to be a slow progression in HOGs toward adding more “adventure” stylishness puzzles, a very welcome change. A game has to be outstanding to get a 5 vote from me, so I gave it a 4. Other sports meeting in this mixed genre include Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst (which is a 5 game), the recent Department 42 (a 4 game), and the Magic Encyclopedia sports meeting (a 5 game). If you get stuck, walkthroughs are available online.
