What they don’t tell you in print large enough to see is that this game will not run on Mac minis or MacBooks. It is called Mac compatible, but it is only compatible with the huge Mac Pro. They should take this game off the market as being Mac compatible until it really is.

I would first like to say that I like this game; the game itself is incredible. I have an xp partition on my Macbook Pro that I made with Boot Camp for the express purpose of playing sports meeting. The reason I am writing this review is so people, like myself, don’t buy the game for Mac. It runs much quicker on windows. The developers chose it would be better to port the game over instead of develop it for the mac platform so…it sucks. When I installed it on my Mac side it lagged with settings all the way down, aside from resolution. I have three gigs of ram and 256mbs on my video card. It should have been fine. Anyway, I pirated the game first to see if it was worth re buying for the Mac and it isn’t. So be forewarned.

The product is incredible and I will probably start playing it in the next few minutes. The conundrum was that I was shipped the incorrect game! I was shipped Civilization IV instead. When I tried to return it, the website would not respond to my emails and would not answer their phone!!!! I tried for nearly 2 weeks to return it and finally read in their return policy that it had to be returned within 10 days in order to trade it for the right game. By then it was too late. It was sent from Go Gamer.com, of which I will never buy another product from again. So the game is incredible, but I didn’t buy the actual game from you. I bought it off the Apple website.

Best game of 2007, and I’m glad it came on the Mac. Finally!
Some people rate sports meeting without even playing it…… there is a guy who rated Call of Duty 2 & 4 with the same note ‘Charles Valenzuela’.
He gave 4 stars for Call of Duty 4 and gave 5 stars for Call of Duty 2. And Call of Duty 4 is supposed to be a better game in every way (game magazines, cnet.com and many rated and said it’s better)

I see a lot of clear reviews on this game, and it worked well enough on the P.C. version, but it is resolution garbage on my Mac.

Maybe I have something set incorrect, but I tried various settings, including setting everything to minimum(with 640 X 480 screen resolution). For Most of the game it stutters and is really hard to tell if your shooting or not.
There is one more thing. I forgot when I bought the Mac version about this. I really do not want to sit for 5 min. waiting for the “Movies” to play out, that is what DVD’s are for. I buy video sports meeting to play, not to watch. This game is riddled with them, so you just sit there, or go get a cup of coffee while they are playing. It is really irritating.
I really liked COD2, and the Mac version is splendid.
