I said it in the review title and I’ll say it again. This is the best fighting game for the DS but, yeah there’s a but and that is why I rated it 3 stars; because of the unnecessary language. No it’s not overly profane just unnecessary for the game play and tale line. Ok, so why is it fun? The fighting! It’s the DS and I get to throw down special moves and combo’s playing the…DS. Yeah really cool. It’s a fun game. Tale mode was a small small. I beat it in a couple of days; oh I don’t maybe 6 hours of tale mode play but don’t fret, there are other modes and multi play is also fun.

I bought this game for my 11 year ancient Bleach obsessed daughter. She finished the entire game in about 4 hours & complained the whole time that there was no plot at all – just fight after fight after fight…

I will start off by saying I had never heard of Bleach the anime prior to looking at this game and even now I have yet to see the anime. What intrigued me about the game in the first place was its praise as a splendid fighting game, well ladies and gentlemen this is 100% right.
This has got to be one of the best fighting sports meeting out there. The controls are open, the engine is incredible, the graphics are also splendid. The only complain I kind of have is that the actual controls are nearly the same for every character. This is kind of a plus though because I am intrigued to use every character. It is not like you have to invest some time on only a few characters because their controls are unique, no the fact that the controls are similar gives you the freedom to explore the roster. The game has a card system that lowers a stat for your opponent or boosts one of yours. At first the card system seemed unsettling but now I can see the depth it adds to the game.
By and large a splendid fighting game cycle. It’s not a splendid fighting game for a hand held, no, it is just a splendid figting game. In some ways better then some of the other fighting sports meeting out there, for example Street Fighter IV. Don’t let the fact that you are unfamiliar with the Bleach universe turn you away, it nearly did me, you will not feel lost and the game is more than strong enough to stand on its own.

I gave this to an 8 year ancient I babysit. He had never heard of it, but gained instant cool points from his friends who had. The more he plays it, the more he seems to delight in it.
