Bill and Ted must end their history scheme or they will have to stay in high school for another year. Any history scheme would be a breeze with a time machine or so you would reflect. The intrepid historians use their own time machine to penetrate the past and collect historical objects. But, this is no unadorned task; the two heroes must collect a series of balls that are scattered throughout each stage. But they need to avoid the historical figure they are trying to get items from, including an mad Abraham Lincoln. Once all of the balls are collected, they can go on to the next stage.
