The Belkin N52te upgraded version is more of a impulse buyers type of gamepad. Yes the look is concrete and the feel is the same as the original N52. Bottomline, you are spending 3x the cash it would cost to get the N52 regular without the paintjob and backlight. This is the sad truth. You start to marvel why so many units have been returned. Conclusion. If you got cash to burn go for it, if you’re looking to invest in a gamepad try the ancient model, its the exact same thing.

This product was unusable out of the box with my iMac (Intel). More than 4 calls to Belkin customer service later, and Belkin still refuses to distinction the “Lifetime Warantee” as noted on their website. In fact, each call starts with the (overseas) tech-support person insisting that this product doesn’t work with Macintosh (even though it is advertised for PC and Mac and Belkin lists Mac drivers on their website.)

The game pad is no improvement over the n52, some will reflect it’s cool, some won’t.
BUT… THE SOFT WEAR IS SO SUBSTANDARD (I want to use harsher language)
The software packaged with the n52te is so much LESS than what you could do with the n52 its incredible it sells at all.
The only reason I own it is because there is no driver or software support for the n52 for win xp64.
With the n52 when you made a MACRO you could edit the MACRO button hold and pause any where from 0 micro seconds to as large a pause as you needed.
With the new razor software you only have the choice to set it 50, 100, 150 or 200 micro seconds. So when I need a 2.03 second pause between button selections I tried to insert 10 ea 200 micro seconds in the MACRO and the program would not save it.
On a high resolution screen you can’t read the program.
The bottoms don’t identify themselves correctly in two ways, if you have ever used the n52 you would know how much better the n52 software identifies the bottoms. For instance if you go your mouse over the button on your screen or if you press the button on the n52 it lights up not only the pad diagram, it also lights up the key slot corresponding to that key.
BIG STUPID ERROR on the joy stick in the program the up or north management is in fact the forward management on the game pad.
All in all the software is a undeveloped, worse than the original, piece of DOO DOO.
Unless you have win xp64 save your cash and get a better product, the n52.

Well, n52te is here, and Belkin wants you to pay $70 to test their product that appears to be not even in beta stage (alpha is more appropriate)
As it stands now, n52te is a total dissipate of cash.

Very pretty. Improved buttons over n52. ummm.. thats it

Dont know where to start.
The software is so buggy, it is hard to describe it. I gave up on trying to get the macros to work. It really seems that the product has not even been tested. I cant believe that they released a product that does not even work. They say “we are effective on it”. Why release the product? Hold off another year if you need to, and release something that works.
Total dissipate of cash, and this is getting returned to Amazon, so they can sell it to another sucker.
Maybe I will buy it in a year, after they work out their bugs.
Do not buy.
