A New Twist on the Wildly Well loved Game
PopCap has sold more than 25 million Bejeweled sports meeting, with over 350 million copies downloaded, making it one of the most flourishing game franchises in history. Bejeweled Twist was four years in the making, and brings an exciting spin on the classic gameplay: instead of dragging the jewels around, you rotate them. The goal is still to make a line of three or more identical jewels, and each successive turn in which you do so gives you a multiplier for even more points. A key difference from the grown-up sports meeting is that you don’t have to make a match with every turn.
The graphics have been updated as well, with new backgrounds and animations. The graphics are crisper and more modern while still retaining the fun, colorful look of the ancient sports meeting. The new game exhibits a high level of polish and production values, including nice animations in between levels, fun explosion effects when potential-ups are used, and extras like being able to watch an instant replay of high-scoring matches.
Four Different Play Modes
Bejeweled Twist features four different play modes: Classic, Challenge, Zen and Blitz. Classic mode lets you progress owing to increasingly hard levels where you try to make jewel chains before a bomb detonates. Challenge mode makes specific tasks for you to complete, such as destroying ten gems in one go. In Blitz mode, you frantically try to accumulate as many points as you can within a certain amount of time. And in Zen mode, you can play a relaxing game without any obstacles or timers.
There are various potential-ups that can be used for higher scores, such as a lightning gem, which you’ll receive by matching five gems at once. The lightning gem then eliminates the entire vertical or horizontal column or row where the gem is located. When a you get consecutive matches to max out the chain meter, you’ll receive a fruit gem that destroys all same-colored gems.
Like all splendid puzzle sports meeting, you’ll be surprised how quick that time flies while playing Bejeweled Twist.

If I had found and played the online version of this one I never would have waisted my cash on it. But, at the local Wal-Mart they had several rows of these in the PC Game and programs area so I thought I’d try one. The first one that came out is a lot more fun and a larger challenge than this one ever will be. I’d take it back and get my cash back on it if I could. But on PC sports meeting and programs, no refunds if the package is open. Any who, I reflect the game stinks and is very dull.

This game delivers what you expect it to. It has an simple stree free level where you can just match the jewels without agonize and of course if you like it tense then you can play with the restrictions. I prefer the the relaxed version.
the game comes with a user friendly how to option in case you’ve never played before but it really dosen’t take much to figure out on your own. The graphics are excellent but what exactly do you want from bejewled? This is just another excellent solitare state of mind game thats excellent for wasting your time if you can’t reflect of what else to do. By and large very excellent and still addicting.

This game is an out and out blast. The graphics and music are fantastic and the gameplay is extremely addictive. I’ve only been playing it a couple of days but I’m seeing jewels in my sleep! I like the new sports meeting and variations on what you can do with your puzzles. It’s incredible they were able to squeeze this much gameplay into the original concept. Very, very imaginative. Highly recommended.

I’ve always been a fan of Tetris and other puzzle sports meeting that serve not anything more than a mental workout for your brain. Even intellect Age II for the Nintendo DS continues to hold my attention whenever I’m waiting. Bejewled Twist (“BT”) is another one of those sports meeting that ranks among my other brain teasers.
BT has a very unadorned concept. You have several jewels on a screen and the goal is to match at least three in a row to get points. When you score a “match” they disappear and the ones above it come down in view of that. To make the concept a small more fascinating, you get elemental varibles such as explosives and lightning blocks when you get four or five jewel matches respectively. You make the matches by using a 2×2 circular twister that turns the jewels clockwise only (therefore the name Bejeweled Twist).
There are a few modes but the one most of us will be playing is Zen mode, where you have unlimited time to come up with your next go. I believe most players will use this since many of us are in “solitaire” mode, where we carefully weigh our options before we go. I have tried the blitz mode, where you have explosive rounds that have a time limit, but I ultimately went back to zen mode.
The game is very addicting. I started playing after my shift at midnight and the next thing I knew it was three in the morning and I wasn’t even tired. It’s enough to rack my brain for hours and not get dull. In fact, I’m only limited in my time by how sore my butt is and not bored I am with the game.
The music is… well, addicting yet eerie. It’s like techno meets elevator music meets coffee shop hippy music. I guess the word for the music would be “techno zen.” One song in particularly makes me laugh and that is the one that has some girl saying “sissy-ta!” every few minutes. It’s eerie, but addicting as if they had more “sissy-ta!” I would be singing by the side of. They also could use more cowbell.
Another droll point is the voice. If God’s dog could talk, it would sound like this guy. It sounds omnipotent, but very dumb at the same time especially when it says, “goodbye.”
All in all, BT is a pretty excellent investment if you want a unadorned game that holds up its entertainment regard over time. Too often do we spend up to $60 on a game and they only last a week. It’s been over one week and I’m still playing BT and I anticipate I will continue to do so for a while.
