Product Description
Loosely based on (or “inspired by”, if you will) the classic Bard’s Tale series that started as an Apple II RPG in 1985, this new installment brings a fresh dose of comedy to the genre with a 3D isometric view that runs on the Champions of Norrath engine. Is a dragon terrorizing the locals? The Bard will take care of it… for the right price. Local princess held intent? The Bard is your man… as long as she’s hot. Use the Snarky/Nice conversation to pick the tone — be an ass or show some class. Your attitude will affect the events that unfold and make a personalized experience for each player. Develop your combat party by summoning a group of eccentrics and misfits to do your bidding – sixteen summoned creatures in all. The game runs on the Champions of Norrath engine and features locations based on the storied land of the Orkney Islands off the coast of Scotland – the inspiration for the classic fantasy worlds.

I bought this game because the reviews were so splendid. But I am a fan of 1st person shooters, not the Diablo genre (gameface)-
and I didnt like looking down on my character. I also did not like the tedious spell stuff. Also, It was not amusing. If you want amusing- check out “evil dead-renaissance” now thats amusing.
This game I anticipated, got and sold right off.

Hello and welcome to my review. This game isn’t that terrible but the interaction and alot of the controls of this game are alittle too hard for most players. (I had no conundrum but many of my friends were using words to describe it that isn’t worth mentioning.) The storyline is alittle dry with no real mission laid out and only owing to dry humor can you advance in some points. It would have been nicer to have a list of choices-maybe in the next version. It was too simple to beat and did it in less than 2hrs. So if your bored and renting a game-this is for you. If your a hard-core RPG’r……then you want something more to sink your teeth into. Just my opinion.

This game is amusing…right up until the first time you get in a fight. You get hit by the monsters in the middle of your swing, and it’s over. You can block, but it only lasts for a split second, and you have to time it just right. Otherwise, you will get ripped to shreds. If you get attacked by more than one enemy at a time, you might as well just reload, because you’ll get attacked from 2-3 or more different directions at a time, and before you know it, you’re dead.
The snark doesn’t make up for the constant dying and reloading. Stay away from this one.

Loved the song & other animation made the game fascinating. The game was excellent with a challenge, I would definately buy another like this.

I had a blast playing this game, but there were several points where I got stuck in the clipping and had to reset the game and as luck would have it, I was far from the save books.
Other than these issues, it was a very fun game.
I wasn’t able to end it though because of the clipping snags.
UPDATE: The clipping issues must have been the copy I had. I bought the game and played again and it worked flawlessly.
