What you want to know is that this is certainly NOT as excellent as the DUAL SFX FRAG PRO – no matter who pads the reviews. We have tested them side by side, with BOTH FULLY UPDATED the SPLITFISH CONTROLLER WINS HANDS DOWN IN EVERY AREA of PERFORMANCE.

Right out of the box this Fragnstein controller needs to be connected to your PC to update with firmware which you have to make sure you have the right one, or you will kill this controller, then you have to re-connect to you PC again to update with turbo feature. Then for each game you play you have to update this controller each time by connecting it to your PC then back to your PS3.
Here is a video review from a customer that has lots of expereince using gaming hardware: [...]
The indicate to the controller drops and disconnects me way too often, so I was told by this company’s support that I have to go my PS3 system closer to my table where I use the controller. Or get a cable extension that will place the transmitter closer. As this is a known conundrum they continue to have with the Fragnstein.
The weight in the mouse is too heavy especially once you place in the array, and is a pain to remove if you want to make it lighter.
The largest PROBLEM with this controller is that I can’t make small micro movements if I’m trying to use a Sniper in a game. The controller is very laggy and jumpy. When turning from side to side it is okay, still a small laggy, but bearable. But for it to be a mouse I thought the accuracy and aiming would be much better than the standard controller, but IT IS NOT! If you want to do down with this controller, you cannot.
Beware of people hired by Bannco to give fake clear reviews for this controller and give unenthusiastic reviews for others that are better like the FragFX series controller from SplitFish. I would suggest anyone that may want to see for yourself, go to their forums and you will see tons of un-pleased customers that got duped into buying this crappy controller. Well that is if they didn’t delete those post yet. Also I would suggest you check with some of the top gaming mag sites like IGN, or reviews from E3 and CES 2010. If you don’t see any review at those sites for this controller, it’s for a reason… and not a very excellent one at that.
Bottom line… I’m very mad that cash was wasted with the product and I’m stuck with a piece of hardware that is unplayable unless I’m willing to struggle to play with it.

I read these player reviews and thought “hell, if guys like me like it, I’ll give it a try!”. Got it home, updated the new firmware drivers, even installed the specific firmware drivers for certain sports meeting, same result.Hitchy, dead spots, the same ancient conundrum with every mouse out there on the market for PS3. I have come to the consciousness that it is impossible to play a console game with a mouse like us ancient school guys did with our PC’s. I am not sure what these reviews are talking about but this mouse is in no way the same as what we are use to with a pc mouse.
Here is the largest conundrum with this controler. What makes a excellent mouse/keyboard and or control stick is when the two work together well. With a traditional mouse keyboard, you can strafe and go the mouse at the same time with no hitching or skipping. The fragenstein does not do this. The mouse itself moves fine, but the second you go the control stick in your left hand while looking around with the mouse all hell opens up.That is a huge conundrum when playing quick paced FPS’ers like COD Modern war 2.
I have used mouse keyboard my whole life and using this thing with the PS3 I finished up just using the PS3 controller (which for a guy that likes mouse keyboard sucks). I accually threw this item away…..have to like blowing 80 bucks on fake advertiment.
Save your cash!

I own the Fragfx v.2, Dual Sfx Frag Pro, and now the Fragnstein and am reviewing from my own experience.
Just like a previous review, I had the best success with the Fragfx v.2, but the Fragnstein is a close second. Fragnstein is very open and Bannco is endlessly improving their firmware (currently expert firmware v1.20). I’ve been playing MW2 with small to no problems at all. The build quality is very excellent and solid, also.
I’ve updated the Dual Sfx Frag Pro (currently v3.100). Although it has improved after updating, I am still having some lag issues and unresponsiveness. I’m still hoping they will exact it. The mouse is a bit too huge for me and it’s just not as comfortable as the Fragnstein.
Although the Fragfx v.2 works the best for me, the mouse does feel a bit cheap but that’s my only gripe besides it being wired.
So if you’re looking for a wireless solution, I’d recommend the Fragnstein.
My contemporary status
1)Fragfx v.2
2)Fragnstein (but not far behind)
3)Dual Sfx Pro (Bleh!)

Amazonian, C. Quattlebaum, and DataDyne work for Splitfish gameware and are in all the review sites trying to knock down the FRAGnStein.
Check out the Bannco forum to see the many pleased gamers using this system.
The FragNstein get close to perfection, but where it fails it leave me hopefull for the future.
Bannco has an incredible product here that few people know about. It is well made and the company really stands behind this product. My mouse in fact arrived broken. One of the buttons didn’t work. I contacted them via email in the middle of the night and they immediately answered back and arranged for a new mouse to be sent over to me and I didn’t have to return the ancient one.
There are plenty of review that discuss how this product works, so I wont go into detail there. Here is what I didn’t know about the FragNstein until I used it.
This mouse simulates the sticks of the PS3. If you keep that in your head, you will not be dissappointed. With that thinking, you should know that when you go the mouse across the mouse pad at a snail’s pace, the cursor moves slow. When you go the mouse quick, the cursor moves quick. The conundrum comes when you go the mouse very quick. The cursor reaches its alacrity limit, or in fact moves slower. Also, with the expert firmware available on the bannco website, the mouse is super charming on the x axis. On the Y axis but, the mouse is very figgity and will not be accurate when you go the mouse slow. Moving the mouse quick is a much smoother.
If you are a PC gamer and are tired of gaming on your PC, get a PS3, and get this soon after. Learning to play FPS with a controller is not worth the effort with this product. I was convinced I would never place the requisite time in to learn to play a FPS with a controller. This mouse is NOT exact, but its failures can be overlooked when compared to gaming with a controller.
Lastly, firmware updates are released so frequently this review is probably obsolete before it hits your eyes. That is why I am hopeful for the future with the FragNstein.
The review of this product was done while playing exclusively on Modern Warfare 2.
