Now before you start screaming at me, I like racing sports meeting. But this one was terrible. 10 levels and 25 cars, not very excellent if you question me. Now I wasn’t expecting a brilliant game that would knock my socks off, but come on. the controls were clunky and the limited variation in the soundtrack didn’t help much. You need about 7 cars to beat the game, and the fact that there’s turbo completely messes up the point of racing sports meeting that aren’t destruction derbies. This was would have been better if once you got a lamborghini you weren’t home free with the game. The fact that there are real cars doesn’t do a darn thing if you have turbo which can make you go over 200 MPH without hardly trying, even in a hummer. Now I’m not saying “GO BUY RIDGE RACERS!!!” but seriously this game isn’t really all it’s supposedly worth. Here is a rating on a scale of one to ten
Sound—2/10
The fact that you could use some second hand music program on the computer to make the music is pretty lame, the SFX are basicly what a three year ancient would do to make a car noise and some cars honking at you that sound like dying water-buffalos.
Graphics—2/10
Seriously, the graphics are what you would expect from a game for the SNES {super nintendo entertainment system} and oncoming traffic looks like a drawing that a toddler could do.
Gameplay—2/10
The camera angles aren’t terrible but the controls are terrible. you use the B button to accelerate and the A button to brake. not to mention the fact that when you glide off the road into some restaurant or something like that, not anything really happens. you just slow down for something like a tenth of a second. Then you just go on going 200 MPH in a Hummer.
Difficulty—1/10
This game takes five minutes to learn, and 2 hours to beat. Pretty simple.
Multiplayer–1/10
Not very fun for multiplayer. Some sports meeting have worse, but this is still “wanting to bash your head in with a marsupial” dull.
By and large—1/10
I reflect this is the worst arcade racing game I’ve ever played and I’ve been playing sports meeting for 7 years.
Afterthoughts
For people who like this game reflect what you want, I can’t force you to despise this game, but seriously I reflect if you want a portable racing game you would be better off forgetting that urge and getting a stationary console racing game- I would suggest Forza Motor Sport for Xbox or Gran Turismo 4 for the PS2.

This game is the worst game I ever played because when you are turning it is so hard to turn. Don’t dissipate your cash like I did.
I MEAN DON’T BUY IT.
