Product Description
An evil magician has stolen the Enchanted Chalice and has hidden it somewhere in the Kingdom. The object of the game is to rescue the Enchanted Chalice and place it inside the Golden Castle where it belongs.
This is no simple task, as the Evil Magician has made three Dragons to hinder you in your quest for the Golden Chalice. There is Yorgie, the Golden-haired Dragon, who is just plain mean; there is Grundle, the Green Dragon, who is mean and ferocious; and there is Rhindle, the Red Dragon, who is the most ferocious of all. Rhindle is also the fastest Dragon and is the most hard to outmaneuver.
There are three castles in the Kingdom; the White Castle, the Black Castle, and the Golden Castle. Each castle has a Gate over the entrance. The Gate can be opened with the corresponding colored Key. Inside each Castle are rooms(or dungeons, depending at which Skill Level you are playing).
The Castles are separated by rooms, pathways, and labyrinths. Common to all the Skill Levels is the Blue Labyrinth owing to which you must find your way to the Black Castle. Skill Levels 2 and 3 have a more complicated Kingdom.

Haven’t played Adventure 2 for the Atari (yet) so this will stick to the first game
Its the late 70s, you’re addicted to Space Invaders, Asteroids, will later be playing sports meeting like Wizard of War, Dig Dug
You pick up the 2600 VCS. Splendid game with it (Combat). Space Invaders has splendid graphics
Pitfall! is splendid fun too, with GREATER graphics
And which game gets my vote for the most fun on the Atari 2600?
Thats right, Atari’s Adventure. The game has 3 difficulty levels. After you play the first couple, you won’t be playing them at all: they’re simply not challenging
But place it on the 3rd difficulty level, and – oo boy! – you’re gonna be playing this for hours
You can set the switch to A or B depending on whether you want the bird in the game, stealing your hard won items
Theres a maze, a bridge you can use to get into hard to access corridors (in the castles)
The graphics are, quite simply, appalling, but this sure gives me a lot more pleasure than playing Pitfall! on the Atari. Noone could ever solve that game anyway
The sports meeting not too hard to solve, but look out for the 3 dragons (the red one is gonna chase you EVERYWHERE and hes FAST!!)
Did I mention theres a secret room with a dot in the black castle maze only accessible with a bridge – you can use that dot to access the programmers signature in the game itself – an easter egg (and a very early one in video sports meeting as well, if not the first on the Atari)
(Spaced Invaders had tricks you could use but was fiendishly hard: you had to have one of the kind of ships left on the screen on the far left of the screen I believe)
So is this game fun? Hell yeah! the graphics are terrible, but this game can easily suck you in and you can spend a long time playing it again and again and again. Probably the worst graphics for any game on the Atari (yes I’ve played Air Sea Battle!) – but god its addictive. And Christ its fun
VERY highly recommended

Do you still have your ancient Atari tucked away for those rainy days? Do you delight in excellent ancient-fashioned low budget graphics? Are you more then pleased with a character who’s just a cursor-a sword that’s just an arrow-and dragons that look like ducks? If so Adventure is every bit as fun as you remember, or as much fun as all your other ancient Atari sports meeting. Yes it’s utterly pathetic when compared with every other modern video game on the market, but for pure nostalgia it can’t be beat. Grand Theft Auto 4 may be mind-blowing, but it can’t make you feel like you’re ten years ancient again. Although if it does you should probably get some sort of help for that.
