Reflect of Ace Combat 5, replace the CG cutscenes with some uninspired live actors, the global WWIII tale with the earlier Belkan war, replace the 27 missions with 18, and the 3 wingmen with 1, and you have ZERO.
It isn’t a terrible game, the graphics are fine. The game play is nice enough. The VS. split screen mode and the weapon choices of ACE combat 4 are back. But the tale and the missions are not nearly as inspired as ACE 5.

Like the top says this one is my favorite Ace combat for PS2. There is some tale in the game, it pretty excellent but not anything anyone hasn’t read before. The plane models are nicely done, the terrain is simplistic but gets the job done.
There is a lot to do in the game, and there is a lot of replay regard here. You have to collect all the medals, unlock all levels, and shoot all the vital enemies for the assault records!

A couple of things that stop this title from getting a 5 star is:
No online :’( It would have been very cool at the time to have it.
The A.I. for your wing man is a total retard who does not anything more than get in the way (he doesn’t even use his throttle, just flies around like not anything is going on, even when you tell him to attack)
But by and large this game is brilliant, cheap buy.
